Pete Townshend asked Rickenbacker to reprise and update his beloved Model 1993 guitar and they were all too happy to oblige. The result is the 1993Plus, enhanced with an 1/8” wider neck, Caribbean rosewood fingerboard and more stable two-piece neck design fitted with a round heel for comfort. This classic 12-string design comes standard with three vintage reissue pickups, stereo output, trapeze tailpiece, vintage knobs and F-hole. Double body binding and pearlescent inlays add a refined touch. X-bracing in the body helps to bring out the full, rich and warm tone that Rickenbacker instruments are known for. The haunting, melodic chorus characteristics of their 12-strings continue to benefit from evolution. The original 1993 design was once exclusive to the British distributor Rose Morris in the sixties.

All-maple construction provides a bright tonal foundation. With the exception of the Rosewood fingerboard, the Rickenbacker 1993Plus is made exclusively from high-grade Maple. The density of this wood is partly responsible for the famous sustain and top-end shimmer inherent to the 1993Plus. Maple is also very stable, aiding in maintaining the structural integrity of the neck. The thick rosewood fingerboard adds a touch of warmth and harmonic richness to this otherwise bright instrument.

Like all our used/vintage gear this has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Immaculate condition without any serious issues, damage or repairs. If there are any signs of use they are very minor indeed. Sold as-is. What you see is what you get. Hard Case included.
