The Caribou model echoes the iconic surf riffs of the 1960’s, blends them with Art Deco design, and embodies the classically derivative, yet distinctly original styling Duesenberg Guitars are known for. It’s semi-hollow body is made from chambered Alder and features a unique body style that is both contemporary and original, yet hints at past with cues from Rickenbacker, among others. Sonically speaking, the Caribou tone is crisp, clear and full-bodied. Duesenberg’s Domino P90 pickup and Grand Vintage humbucker are clear and present but also sweet and articulate. Compared to the Starplayer TV – Double Cat is a bit more jangly and raw. The Duesenberg Diamond Deluxe Tremola provides Bigsby-style pitch bending with improved functionality and tuning stability. Perfect for subtle, Gretsch-like Surf and Country music.
