The DJD-BK is a new production version of the initial Limited Edition Johnny Depp Artist Series. The core specs of the new Johnny Depp signature model are essentially the same as the original limited piece but with slightly different cosmetic design and inlays. What is less well-known is that he was originally a guitarist and musician. Like all Duesenberg Guitars, the tone, playability and looks of the Johnny Depp signature model are all incredible. One aspect that makes this guitar unique is the custom tapped JD-63 pickup which was specially designed to meet every characteristic of a classic open sounding single coil. To take things a step further, 1963 turns of pickup wire can be added via the boost switch to create a warmer, crunchy sound. This guitar offers many of the other proprietary Duesenberg features as well; such as the Duesenberg classic tremolo, “Z” locking tuners, Plek fret job and other top notch enhancements to create a beautiful and great sounding instrument with maximum playability.
