Great specs on this Limited Edition 59 Strat! It’s light, loud and lively. It plays great, sounds great and feels great! Oh yeah – and it looks great too! So, as I said, “lots of greatness”. This Limited Edition Fender Custom Shop 59 Strat NOS is built with an Alder body which has been sorted for lightweight and finished in an elegant shade of Sherwood Green Metallic nitrocellulose lacquer.

The neck is excellent – AAA Birdseye Maple with a deep and beautiful figuring. It has been carved to a very comfortable “Large C” profile and includes other premium features like a 9.5” radius and 21 Narrow Tall (6105) frets. The tinted nitrocellulose lacquer really makes that grain “pop”.

The pickups are Hand Wound Fat 50’s, which are one of my favorite pickups. Like a classic vintage 1950’s Strat tone-wise with just a bit more “oomph” to keep things sounding as rich and full as they should. These are all wired up to a 5 way switch with vintage modified #2 wiring (which includes a Tone Saver Treble Bleed on the volume, Tone (neck/middle), Tone (bridge).
