The Vintage Fender Strat- REDEFINED! This 1960 Stratocaster Relic is part of the Master Vintage Players Series (MVP) Limited Edition run, built exclusively for Make’n Music in the Fender Custom Shop!!! These special instruments are custom designed to offer the Ultimate in Tone, Playability and Feel. Each guitar is hand-made to our specs in order to give the vibe and look of an actual vintage instrument, but with all the conveniences of a true modern player’s piece.

This particular guitar is built to modified early ’60 Strat specs and has a very special hand-distressed, Relic finish package to replicate decades of road worn wear and tear! Another nifty feature is the push button switch hidden discretely in the center of the volume knob. When activated this puts the neck / bridge pickup combination at your fingertips for all those Jimmy Page / Ritchie Blackmore type tones. Even a bit of Tele flavor! Of course all the classic Stratocaster sounds you know and love are still there too- Right where they should be. Custom Shop Master Design John Cruz spec pickups provide plenty of spank, twang and sparkle with enough extra beef to conjure anything from Rock to Texas Blue to those other two kinds of music – Country AND Western.

The Fender Custom Shop Master Vintage Player Series Strats and Teles may look and feel like actual vintage guitars, but they play like a dream. Easier chording, faster leads and no fretting out when you go for the big bends thanks to the 1&11/16″ nut width, flatter 9.5″ fingerboard radius and 6105 fret wire. Adjustments are a breeze too! The Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak. These guitars also have the ultra-comfy, Oval “C” neck profile carved to our custom specs with a Dark Rosewood fingerboard.
