Airline Guitars RS-II
Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar!
Vintage Roy Smeck Tribute
The Airline RS-II is a tribute to the vintage Roy Smeck signature model of the late 1950’s. The Airline RS-II has been out of production for nearly a decade. After being bombarded by customer requests, the fine folks at Eastwood/Airline have finally relented and reissued this captivating model with good looking and great sounding VALCO Argyle pickups!
Vintage versions are extremely hard to find these days, and if you are lucky enough to find one, you better not have huge crypto losses in your portfolio or you’ll never be able to afford it. This model features a unique, semi-hollow construction without F-Holes, which combined with the VALCO Argyle single coil pickups can produce a unique tone very reminiscent of those classic vintage guitars. Despite its semi-hollow design, the RS-II is capable of producing clean or distorted tones with minimal feedback.
Like all Eastwood and Airline Reissue and Tribute Models, the RS-II is also upgraded from vintage spec for increased functionality, and improvements to playability and tone.
