b3 Guitars SL Jr
Masterbuilt by Gene Baker!
Custom Boutique Electric Guitar
This SL Jr sounds like a million bucks. It also looks like a million bucks and plays like a million bucks. So really, you are getting 3 million bucks worth of guitar for a lot less. I dare you to find a better deal than that! Seriously though, we are very fortunate here at Make’n Music to be working again with the great, “Mean Gene” Baker and we could not be happier with this latest batch of killer, custom spec’d SL Jr guitars.
This particular instrument is light, loud and lively with a Mann Made wraparound bridge, Korina body and neck and 2 x smokin’ Jason Lollar pickups – my favorite combo of an Imperial Humbucker in the bridge and a P90 in the neck. If you can’t get a good sound from this beast you better take some lessons! Additional details include a ’59 Soft V neck profile with a Rosewood fingerboard with some slick-ass Parallelogram Inlays, Grover Kluson tuners and a Jr-style Tortoise pickguard. See below for full specs.
Each b3 guitar is FULLY CUSTOM, and here at Make’n Music we take full advantage of having complete control over options such as body woods, top woods, electronics type and configuration, bridges and hardware, finish, and much more. We start with one of Gene Baker’s b3 models, then customize it to our own shop specs, or in the case of a customer special order, to best suit your own personal needs as a client. From there, every option is your choice.

Gene Baker is well known in the industry as a master craftsman who has built guitars for brands like Gibson and the Fender Custom Shop, where he was a Senior Masterbuilder. The next decade saw Gene overseeing production with companies like Ernie Ball, D’Angelico, and others. But since 2003 his sole focus has been his true calling – to craft his own, fully custom electric guitars. Drawing on his own experience hand-building some of the most storied guitar models in history, Gene created b3 Guitars.
