What an impressive instrument! The Duesenberg Gran Majesto is a beautiful electric guitar with semi-hollow construction. It’s built like a Gibson ES with a solid center block, arched / laminated top and back and bent sides. The 25.5” scale length makes the tone a bit “crisper” with good note definition, yet still sweet and succulent with great clarity and resonance.

A pair of Duesenberg’s new “Phonico” pickups are actually an interpretation of the classic Duesenberg Grand Vintage Humbucker in the bridge with a Domino P-90 in the neck with new covers. They prove that nothing really has to stay the same just because it always has been. The inside dimensions are designed to hold most of today’s pickups, just in case you may want to swap them – though we don’t think you will. Combined with the new 4-way Rotary switch you can now choose between various full Humbucking and P-90 combinations. As with the typical Duesenberg wiring, low-end frequencies are filtered out of the humbucker signal when both pickups are combined for added clarity and sparkle.

Frets are Plek’d and finished by hand for optimum playability and a smooth feel. Open-style modern tuners operate smoothly, reduce weight and eliminate sharp string ends sticking out of the headstock. Additionally, the Gran Majesto features twin F-Holes and a floating transparent pickguard. Like all Duesenberg guitars, all hardware is custom designed and attention to detail is critical in order to create truly unique instruments from tuner buttons to jack plates.

The Gran Majesto is available in two variations: The double cutaway version in deep Catalina Green (seen here) equipped with an aluminum stop-tailpiece for enhanced resonance transfer. A single cutaway version is available as well in a classic Vintage Burst and sporting a Duesenberg Radiator Tremola. Both versions are only available in the above mentioned colors and hardware configurations.
