Vintage 1968 Fender Telecaster Bass
Used! Just in on consignment!
Rare! This configuration made one year only!
Just in on consignment! This vintage 1968 Fender Tele Bass is really cool and very rare! Great sounding, good looking, and an all around killer vintage electric bass guitar. It’s a 4 Bolt neck plate, serial number 236925, with a neck date stamp from 1968. The bass itself is in very good shape with only a few dings, dents, lacquer checks and other cosmetic blemishes. Little if any play wear. It was just discovered in an attic by the family of the original owner and was apparently up there for quite some time. We just took it in, serviced it, and put it up for sale on consignment.
As with nearly all Telecaster bass guitars from this year, the original pickguard has long since deteriorated, and has been replaced here with a reproduction. Unfortunately, as is often the case when the pickguards disintegrate, they cause significant corrosion to some of the metal parts and hardware – and that is the case here. The corroded hardware has been replaced but the original hardware is included and pictured. There is some related discoloration on the fingerboard by the higher frets but they have been crowned and polished and this thing plays and sounds great.
The original hardshell case is included. Like all of our used / vintage gear this has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Sold as-is. What you see is what you get.
