The American Standard P-Bass is the U.S.-made flagship of the Precision Bass lineup. Powerful sounding and built like a tank! This is the latest incarnation of the indestructible workhorse bass that started it all and revolutionized popular music. The Fender American Standard Precision Bass delivers elegantly simple style, elemental build and feel, with pure Fender bass tone from subtle to seismic. If you can have only one bass guitar, this better be it.

Fender introduced the American Standard Precision Bass guitar in 1951, and its thick sound changed popular music forever. Today’s American Standard Precision Bass is the contemporary offspring of that original instrument –Hero to bass players past and present; a modern interpretation of Fender’s classic instrument refined for modern players.

The American Standard P-Bass has a high-mass vintage bridge, a Fender Custom Shop ’60s Precision Bass split single-coil pickup, and a thinner finish that lets the body breathe and improves resonance. Upgraded Fender tuners are 30 percent lighter and more precise than the vintage-style originals, all while retaining a classic look. For an elegant appearance and smooth playability, Fender chose a tinted satin urethane finish for the neck back with a gloss front and a high gloss urethane body finish. A Fender hard shell case is also included.
