This 1-off Fender Custom Shop Strat was special ordered and comes loaded with great features for playability and tone! It is based on a vintage Time Machine Series 1960 Stratocaster NOS but has a number of juicy upgrades that you will appreciate.

The body is Roasted Alder with a contoured neck heel. This adds resonance and stability, as well as more comfortable and improved access to the upper registers. The neck is cut from a beautiful piece of AA figured Maple with a dark slab of African Blackwood for the fingerboard. The figure is quite nice but not so intense that it looks out of place while the deep, rich fingerboard has the look and tone of Brazilian Rosewood. For improved playability with the lowest possible action the fingerboard has a compound radius 7.25″ – 9.5″ and the frets are the upgraded 6105 vintage/tall wire. a set of bright chrome Sperzel Trim-Lok tuners keep everything locked in tune and make string changes a breeze. 

Additionally, we have spec’d a calibrated set of Dual-Mag Strat pickups – lovingly hand-wound by Josephina Campos. The Dual-Mag pickups utilize Alnico 5 magnets on the bass side and Alnico 2’s on the treble side to create balance and consistency in tone. It also allows for improved string to string clarity. The middle pickup is RWRP for hum cancelling operation in the 2/4 positions of the 5-way switch. We also spec’d a treble bleed and tone controls for the neck/middle as well as the bridge pickup. 

A high gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish and white pearloid pickguard tie the whole package together with an elegance and style. Overall, the tone is outstanding with a lush, rich and deeply complex tone that is extremely pleasing. This guitar is at home playing Blue, Jazz, Rock and Roll or Country.
