Just in from the Fender Custom Shop! This 1963 Stratocaster was special ordered with some killer features, and Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler. We started with the true to vintage spec ’63 Strat as a “base model” for this build and customized it with the following upgrades for improved playability, functionality and tone!

First, a premium Ash body was selected and sorted for lightweight. Beautiful Birdseye Maple was used for the neck wood and Roasted for stability (very important with Birdseye!) as well as a deep, rich, caramelized color. This was paired with a Rosewood “Slab” fingerboard which was sorted for Dark color and customized with a 9.5″-12″ compound radius and 6105 frets for exceptional playability with the lowest possible action. We also customized the dimensions to .825″-.945″ and spec’d the truss rod adjust at the headstock for practicality. Electronically we have a set of Hand-Wound pickups with a Texas Special in the Bridge position for a bit more “oomph” along with a pair of Fat 50’s in the Neck and Middle for the sparkle and chime you expect. The middle PU’p is RWRP for silent operation in the 2/4 positions. We also have the RSD bridge for additional tone enhancement and functionality as well as the beautiful and rarely seen Tahitian Coral finish with a Matching Headstock to top things off.
