The Vintage Fender Strat- REDEFINED! This Masterbuilt 1950s Stratocaster Closet Classic is part of the Dealer Select Master Vintage Player Series (MVP) Limited Edition, built exclusively for Make’n Music in the Fender Custom Shop!!! These special instruments are custom designed to offer the Ultimate in Tone, Playability and Feel. Each guitar is hand-made and customized to our specs in order to give the vibe and look of an actual vintage instrument, but with all the conveniences of a true modern player’s piece.

This particular guitar is Masterbuilt by Todd Krause to modified ’56 Strat specs and has a very special Lush Closet Classic finish package, which tastefully replicates the look and feel of a killer vintage instrument that has been ever so lightly used, but very well cared for over the decades! No dings or dents, but very light lacquer checking in the paint. It is exceptionally elegant with it’s Surf Green Finish and Matching Headstock, along with Gold Hardware for a touch more glamour. Another nifty feature is the push button switch (S1) hidden discretely in the center of the volume knob. When activated this puts the neck / bridge pickup combination at your fingertips for all those Jimmy Page / Ritchie Blackmore type tones. Even a bit of Tele tone flavor! Of course all the classic Stratocaster sounds you know and love are still there too- Right where they should be. A set of Custom Shop Hand Wound Master Design pickups (Bone Tone in the neck and middle, MD LTD in the bridge) provide plenty of spank, twang and sparkle with just enough extra beef to keep things sounding meaty.

These Fender Custom Shop Master Vintage Player Series Strats and Teles may look and feel like actual vintage guitars, but they play like a dream. The neck is designed for comfort with a Custom 10/56 Soft “V” profile (.020″ slimmer than stock) that is carved from a solid piece of quarter-sawn Maple for the utmost in stability and tone. Easier chording, faster leads and no fretting out when you go for the big bends thanks to the 1&11/16″ nut width, flatter 9.5″ fingerboard radius and 6105 fret wire. Adjustments are a breeze too! The Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak. And it’s finished with a Gunstock oil for the silky smooth feel of bare wood. Slick!
