The Vintage Fender Strat- REDEFINED! This 1960s Stratocaster Super Relic is part of the Dealer Select Master Vintage Player Series (MVP) Limited Edition, built exclusively for Make’n Music in the Fender Custom Shop!!! These special instruments are custom designed to offer the Ultimate in Tone, Playability and Feel. Each guitar is hand-made to our specs in order to give the vibe and look of an actual vintage instrument, but with all the conveniences of a true modern player’s piece. 

This particular guitar is built to modified early ’60 Strat specs and has a very special, hand-distressed, Heavy Relic finish package designed to replicate decades of road worn wear and tear! A set of Custom Shop Master Design pickups Hand Wound by Josefina Campos (Bone Tone in the neck and middle, Master Design Ltd in the bridge) provide plenty of spank, twang and sparkle with just enough extra beef in the bridge to keep things sounding meaty and well-balanced overall. Another nifty feature is the push button S1 switch hidden discreetly in the center of the volume knob. When activated this puts the neck + bridge pickup combination at your fingertips, for all those Jimmy Page / Ritchie Blackmore type tones – Even a bit of Tele flavor! Of course all the classic Stratocaster sounds you know and love are still there too- Right where they should be. 

These Fender Custom Shop Master Vintage Player Series Strats and Teles may look and feel like actual vintage guitars, but they play like a dream. The neck is custom spec’d by Make’n Music and designed for comfort! It’s based on a customized “Modern C” profile with 22 frets, custom dimensions (.825″-.925″), and carved from a piece of Quartersawn Maple for the utmost in tone and stability with a dark, slab Rosewood Fingerboard for a rich look. Easier chording, faster leads and big bends without fretting out are all made possible thanks to the 1&11/16″ nut width, 9.5″ fingerboard radius, and 6105 fret wire. Adjustments are a breeze too! The Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak. Slick!
