The Vintage Fender Tele- REDEFINED! This 60 Tele is Masterbuilt by Jason Smith as part of the Make’n Music Exclusive Dealer Select Master Vintage Player Series (MVP). These special instruments are custom designed to offer the Ultimate in Tone, Playability and Feel. Each guitar is hand-made to our specs in order to give the vibe and look of an actual vintage instrument, but with all the conveniences of a true modern player’s piece.

This particular guitar was inspired by a Telecaster which belonged to John Lennon and is built to modified early 60s Telecaster specs. It sports a truly authentic looking, hand-distressed, Heavy Relic finish package, meant to replicate decades of road worn wear and tear! The tone is incredible thanks to a pair of great sounding pickups- The OBG (Original Blackguard) in the bridge position for a snarling Tele spank and twang, along with a Fender Shawbucker humbucking pickup in the neck position (with “Wide Range” style cover for a cool retro look). In addition to it’s full, fat humbucking tone, the humbucker can be split via S-1 switch hidden discreetly in the Tone Control for a clear and sparkling, bell-like quality more reminiscent of a traditional Telecaster neck pickup.

While Fender Custom Shop Master Vintage Player Series Strats and Teles may look and feel like actual vintage guitars, they play like a dream. The neck profile is our ultra-comfy, MVP “Perfect C”. At .825″ – .945″ it’s perfectly shaped to fit in any size hands. Gently rolled edges and 6105 fret wire, along with the flatter 9.5″ radius and 1&11/16″ nut width allow for easier chording and faster leads without fretting out. Adjustments are a breeze too! The Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak.
