The Vintage Fender Telecaster- REDEFINED! This ‘64 Tele Relic is part of the Dealer Select Master Vintage Player Series (MVP), built exclusively for Make’n Music in the Fender Custom Shop!!! These special instruments are custom designed to offer the Ultimate in Tone, Playability and Feel. Each guitar is hand-made to our specs in order to give the vibe and look of an actual vintage instrument, but with all the conveniences of a true modern player’s piece.

This particular guitar is based on modified early 60’s Telecaster specs with some 1964 details for a transition-era vibe. The body is Roasted Alder which has been sorted for Lightweight, and it sports a truly authentic looking, hand-distressed, Relic finish package to replicate decades of road worn wear and tear! The tone is incredible thanks to a pair of great sounding pickups- The 64 Tele pickup in the bridge position for plenty of Twang, along with a Twisted Tele pickup in the neck position for added clarity and sparkle – an amount Strat-like tone. They are wired to a 3-way switch with a Master Volume and Tone Control. There is also an S1 switch hidden discreetly in the Tone Control which provides for the Neck+Bridge pickups in-series when engaged (like a preset “boost” button)

While Fender Custom Shop Master Vintage Player Series Strats and Teles may look and feel like actual vintage guitars, they play like a dream. The neck profile is an ultra-comfy, “custom for Make’n Music” Mid 60’s Oval C. At .825″ – .945″ it’s perfectly shaped to fit in any size hands. Gently rolled edges and 6105 fret wire, along with the flatter 9.5″ radius and 1&11/16″ nut width allow for easier chording and faster leads without fretting out. Adjustments are a breeze too! The Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak. The fingerboard is Slab Rosewood which has been sorted for a dark, chocolate color.
