The Vintage Fender Jazzmaster- REDEFINED! This Masterbuilt 1959 Jazzmaster Super Relic is part of the Master Vintage Players Series (MVP) Limited Edition, made exclusively for Make’n Music in the Fender Custom Shop!!!

The Master Vintage Player Series represents a unique and exciting project with Make’n Music and the Fender Custom Shop. Each guitar is comprised of carefully thought out specifications and features, which are designed to incorporate the ultimate in tone and playability while maintaining an undeniably vintage vibe and feel.

Premium Woods Hand-selected for Tone and Weight!

This particular guitar also happens to be one of our new “Featherweight” models Masterbuilt for us by Paul Waller. It features a very special body with woods hand-selected for extreme lightweight and resonance. The tone is open and airy with incredible definition. Every frequency can be heard clearly. The lows are tight and focused. The midrange is clear and the highs sweet and sparkly. Never harsh or squawky. Exactly like you would imagine an incredible vintage Jazzmaster to sound!

Additional Upgrades for Increased Functionality and Playability!

MVP Series guitars feature custom neck profiles for the ultimate in comfort and playability! This particular neck features an ultra-comfy Oval “C” profile (.825-.945”) which is hand carved from perfectly Quartersawn Maple with a Dark Rosewood fingerboard, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 6105 fret wire. The nut width is 1 &11/16″and the truss rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak. How convenient is that?

The Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish is hand-distressed with a Relic finish package that replicates decades of road worn wear and tear. The electronics will be familiar to vintage Jazzmaster afficianados with the standard Master Volume / Master Tone / 3-way “Lead” circuit and “Rhythm” circuit Volume / Tone controls. The pickups are vintage-spec Jazzmaster Flatpole magnets. Additional custom upgrades include a Mastery Bridge and Tremolo for incredible tuning stability and playability – No strings popping off the bridge on this baby!
