THIS FENDER CUSTOM SHOP GUITAR was designed from the ground up to be true player’s guitar with a blend of classic Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar and Stratocaster appointments! The Offset Telecaster – Jazzmaster / Telecaster Hybrid (which we like to refer to as a “Telemaster”) features the classic offset body style of a Jazzmaster or Jaguar infused with the headstock and hardware from a Telecaster. We even managed to wedge a Stratocaster pickup in there too- Just to cover all the bases! This Masterbuilt electric guitar is hand crafted in the Fender Custom Shop for the ultimate in tone, playability and long term investment potential.

Versatile electronics and hand-wound pickups for incredible tone!

For the ultimate in rich, musical tone we chose Josephina Campos hand-wound pickups for this beast – A Twisted Tele neck pickup with a Broadcaster Bridge pickup for all those killer classic Tele sounds along with a John Cruz Master Design Stratocaster pickup in the middle position for the added quack of a killer vintage Strat. A 5-way pickup selector switch and standard Master Volume and Master Tone controls provide contemporary switching and modern versatility.

Custom neck profile and premium woods!

The Masterbuilt John Cruz Fender Custom Shop Offset Telecaster – Jazzmaster / Telecaster Hybrid neck is based on our exclusive MVP Series guitars and features an ultra-comfy, Mid 60’s Oval “C” profile – Custom sized to be a perfect fit for large or small hands. Modern specs like a 1&11/16” nut width, 9.5” fingerboard radius and 6105 fret wire make for an incredible playing experience while the truss rod adjustment is accessible from the headstock for additional convenience. The Maple neck is Quartersawn and sports and ultra Dark, Indian Rosewood fingerboard. It’s then hand-finished with a gunstock oil for the smooth natural feel of bare wood. For the body we spec’d premium lightweight Swamp Ash for a resonant tonal experience.

Additional player friendly specifications include a “Gatton” bridge and saddles for improved intonation and a reversed control plate which perfectly aligns the Volume and Tone controls in the ergonomic sweet spot. Did someone say Pinky Swells? Have at it!
