The Pawn Shop Special Excelsior Pro is undoubtedly one of the most distinctive amps in Fender history. This all tube guitar combo amplifier, with its textured Surf Green vinyl covering, unique “E” grille design and bold crossed-swords front-panel badge conveys a decidedly retro vibe- California meets the Cold War Era! The 13-watt Excelsior elegantly encloses a single 15 inch Eminence Legend speaker which is perfectly voiced to broadcast all that great tube tone- provided by a pair of 6V6 tubes in the power section and a pair of 12AX7s in the preamp. A bottom-loaded primary chassis and top-loaded control chassis offer operating convenience and low noise. Other distinctive features include Instrument, Microphone and Accordion inputs that each have individually optimized circuitry; Tremolo circuit with speed control, bright/dark tone switch (for treble or bass emphasis), volume control and 1/4” internal speaker disconnect that lets the amp drive an external speaker enclosure.
