JJ Guitars Park Lane Single Cut
Custom Boutique Electric Guitar
Boutique Guitar Showcase Featured instrument!
This particular guitar is called the “Park Lane” – named for a palatial building in Park Lane London from which the valuable antique timber was reclaimed. The Brazilian Mahogany is so rare and exceptionally old there is only enough for a total of eleven Guitars. This is one of them, fresh off tour from the Boutique Guitar Showcase.
JJ Guitars offers a variety of models and options, all of which are lovingly created from the sound up by luthier Jeff Guilford in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. In order to produce “the world’s finest boutique electric guitars” Jeff scours the globe for the finest possible materials – Whether it’s reclaimed Brazilian Mahogany from a building in London or aged woods from suppliers off the beaten path, you can be assured that all JJ Guitars are constructed from the highest quality timber, hardware, electronics and other components. This attention to detail is what brings world class artists to the JJ stable, and for players including Simon Townshend of The Who, Matt Schofield, Tomo Fujita and more, these guitars have become “must have” instruments in the arsenal.
To optimize the tone of these guitars, various pickup models and combinations are offered. The goal is to compliment the sound and balance of the woods used in each guitar. The finishing process is also important, and achieved by using extremely durable, yet thin layers, which allow the instruments to breathe and achieve their full potential. The final process of assembly naturally includes a full setup to exacting tolerances, ensuring effortless playability.
