Nik Huber Guitars Twangmeister
The Twangmeister, from Nik Huber guitars is indeed a Master of the Twang! With Twangmeister, Nik Huber has been able to create a truly original take on a classic Tele-inspired design. Nothing quite compares to the feel and tone of Nik’s guitars. They are comfortable- as if custom-tailored just for your own hand. The figured Maple neck has a perfect medium carve that is chunky, yet not overbearing. It also has a silky-smooth, oil finish for a natural wood feel. The body is lightweight Swamp Ash and the hardware has a lightly aged / distressed finish that helps give the guitar a vintage-vibe without being over the top beat up. Although the neck pickup looks like a P-90 it’s actually just a great sounding Tele-style neck pickup hiding under a P90 cover. It blends fantastically with the Broad T-style bridge pickup. Both of which are wound by Harry Haussel- who is one of my favorite pickup makers around.
The Nik Huber Twangmeister, like all of Nik’s wonderful creation, plays and sounds like a dream! It’s built with the quality and hand-craftsmanship of the finest contemporary boutqiue guitars but it has the feel and tone of a true vintage classic.
