Strymon Brigadier dBucket Delay
The Brigadier dBucket Delay effects pedal from Strymon is dedicated to only one thing- Destroying the Analog / Digital Divide and delivering the best Analog Bucket Brigade delay sound ever. This is possible thanks to a super powerful SHARC DSP. By dedicating the entire DSP to one extremely high quality effect (not the typical, multi-effects application), it’s power is concentrated on every detail that makes an analog delay special. As an added bonus this great tone comes without any of the noise associated with the old fashioned bucket brigade chips (unless of course you choose to add it back in with the Stymon exclusive ”bucket loss” control). This pedal is very special indeed!
Soundclips of the Strymon Brigadier dBucket Delay
Clock generation and feedback
Medium delay mode – repeats set for oscillation – a short G minor chord played into the delay, and then playing with the delay time to showcase the clock generation and feedback
Lead tone
Delay in short mode, medium repeats setting to add depth to a lead tone
Oscillations
Delay in short mode. No guitar plugged in, just repeats turned up to max and tweaking delay time to show the responsiveness and sound quality of the ’maxed out’ oscillations. At the end, I turn down the repeats, and crank them back up by using the tap footswitch held down, and I do this a couple of times.
Bucket depth
Moderate bucket loss with moderate modulation added to showcase the depth of the bucket with proper companding and clock generation.
Clarity and warmth
Single repeat delay with modulation and no bucket loss to showcase a U2-like rhythm with clarity and warmth.
