This Custom Classic T from Suhr Guitars is absolutely stunning! Like all of John Suhr’s creations this boutique solidbody electric guitar is custom built to exacting specifications. Impeccable workmanship, tight tolerances, perfect fretwork – Electric Guitars from Suhr really are among the very best of the best. This is clearly a beautiful instrument, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this right now.
The 1 piece top is made from Zebra Wood which has a very interesting, striped grain pattern. One of the slickest parts about that is the look it gives the natural scraped binding around the edges. The meat of the body is genuine Mahogany with hand and tummy contours for maximum comfort. The gorgeous Roasted Maple neck is carved from 1 piece of solid Birdseye Maple. It has an oil finish for the smooth natural feel of bare wood and the Even “C” RB neck profile is slim and comfortable. Personally, I like a bigger neck and even though this one is fairly slim (.800″ – .850″) the carve feels so natural that I love playing it. Just the right size. An 11″-16″ compound radius fingerboard with 22 stainless steel frets allows for the lowest possible action without buzzing or fretting out. The playability is incomparable.
Other features like Dual Thornbucker humbucking pickups with raw Nickel covers, a 5-way switch and a hardtail bridge with strings through the body construction mean that this baby resonates for days and sounds fantastic! Anything from thick, meaty humbucking power to sparkling clean, bell-like and almost acoustic single coil tones are possible all while retaining the clarity and note definition you need in chords as well as maximum sustain.
