World renown guitarist Pete Thorn is considered by the guitar community to be one of the foremost authorities on tone. He is also known for his touring and session work with legendary artists such as Chris Cornell and Melissa Etheridge. After five years of extensive road testing and countless mods and tweaks to his original PT-100 amplifier, Suhr has created the ultimate, no compromise, 3-channel tube guitar amplifier!

The new PT-100 Signature Edition is a sexy beast with its classy blackout look- Black tolex, Black knobs and a rich, Midnight anodized Aluminium faceplate. Each PT-100 Signature Edition head from Suhr Amps features 100 watts of power, three channels, custom “Plexi-style” output transformer, four EL-34 power tubes and six 12AX7 preamp tubes, a solid-state series/parallel effects loop and a 4-button MIDI programmable footswitch.

 

3 Channel / MIDI switchable design for incredible flexibility!

The PT-100 clean channel offers a full range of American voiced clean sounds while the distinctly British overdrive channel features dual gain and level controls for independent rhythm and lead tones.

 

CHANNEL 1 (CLEAN) FEATURES

• CRUNCH: Engages an additional gain stage for smooth, crunchy, overdrive
• BRIGHT 1: Adds brightness and sparkle
• GAIN 1: Adjusts the overall gain level of Channel 1
• BASS: Turn clockwise to increase low frequencies for a fuller tone. Turn counter clockwise tighten up the bottom-end (useful at louder volumes)
• MIDDLE: Turn clockwise for a fatter response. Turn counter clockwise for a mid-scooped sound
• TREBLE: Turn clockwise for clarity and brightness. Turn counter clockwise for smooth, fluid lead tone
• LEVEL 1 (MASTER VOLUME): Adjusts the overall output of Channel 1

 

CHANNEL 2 / 3 (OVERDRIVE)

• BRIGHT 2/3 SWITCH: Adds brightness and cut
• GAIN 2: Adjusts the overall gain level of Channel 2
• GAIN 3: Adjusts the overall gain level of Channel 3
• BASS: Turn clockwise to increase low frequencies for a fuller tone. Turn counter clockwise tighten up the bottom-end (useful at louder volumes)
• MIDDLE: Turn clockwise for a fatter response. Turn counter clockwise for a mid-scooped sound

• BOOST: Adds additional boost to selected channel
• CHANNEL SELECT SWITCH: Selects between Channels 1, 2 & 3
• FEEDBACK: Controls the overall feel of the power amp section from smooth and spongy to tight and aggressive
• PRESENCE: Turn clockwise for more cut and sparkle
• DEPTH SELECT SWITCH: Overall low-end resonance control (+4dB, +2dB, Off)
• EFFECTS LOOP: Solid State series/parallel FX loop
• FOOTSWITCH: 4-button MIDI programmable
