The Tom Anderson Drop Top is drop dead gorgeous! It is one of our absolute favorite specs with a Maple Top on Alder body along with a Chocolate Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard for a balanced, full and rich tone with excellent note definition and resonance. Of course playability and tonal versatility are the foremost priorities with any Tom Anderson guitar and this Drop Top is no different. The ingenious Tom Anderson “wedgie” neck joint offers incredible access to the highest registers. The pickups are mounted directly to the body. And typical 5-way switching along with the Add Bridge feature, Master Splitter and VA Booster mean that nearly any sound or combination of sounds from classic vintage to ultra modern, single coil or humbucker are available from the SSH pickup configuration.
