The Flame Maple top adorning this Tom Anderson Drop Top is deeply figured and very three dimentional! It looks great with a classic, Dark Cherry Sunburst finish and the natural scraped binding and matching back really make it pop! A truly beautiful instrument. Like all Tom Anderson guitars, this Drop Top electric guitar plays and sounds great. Incredible comfort and sonic versatility are thier specialty. This one has an Even – Taper + .030″ neck profile for a little extra girth – not too fat, just enough for added confort if you like a medium C shaped neck. The H/S/S pickup configuration has my favorite combination for a mix of classic and modern tones as well- H2+ humbucker in the bridge along with 2x SC1 single coils. In addition to a 5-way switch you also have a Master Splitter and VA Booster, as well as a push/pull on the tone control to add the bridge pickup into the mix so you can get that great sounding, Neck/Bridge combo that is typically elusive on a Super Strat style instrument. Bravo! Desert Island guitar? You Bet!
