The Raven is one of our favorite models from Tom Anderson Guitarworks, and one versatile machine! Tom Anderson has been building the highest quality boutique electric guitars for as long as anyone and his creations are right up there with the best of the best. Each Anderson Guitar is built to the highest standard of quality and represents the pinnacle of a true player’s instrument.

This particular model called the Raven Classic – which T/A’s Offset body style. This one features a killer, nitrocellulose lacquer “Big Sparkle Teal” finish, which has been relic’d to “In Distress Level 2”. It’s constructed from Swamp Ash with a Caramel Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard. Three outstanding M Series pickups hooked up to custom switching allow for a wide ranging spectrum of tones. All pickups feature special covers for added sex appeal. It’s incredibly comfortable and balances great!

Like all Tom Anderson guitars this one plays as good as it looks and all the details of the fit and finish are flawless. The tone is awesome and it’s surprisingly versatile. Anything from sparkling clean to snarling mean is available courtesy of the 5-way pickup selector with a Push/Pull tone control. We also spec’d one with a short, 24.75″ scale and one of our favorite neck profiles – the 60’s Vibe – which is one of the most comfortable “C” shaped necks you can get. With an early 60’s style taper, it is considered a medium-depth neck at the first few frets and becomes a substantial neck when you grab a handful in the upper regions of the fretboard.
