The Carr Rambler is one of Steve Carr’s earliest signature designs and it is still one of Carr Amplifiers most popular models. The Rambler 1×12 combo succeeds in delivering classic, American ‘Deluxe’ tone with dramatically expanded clean headroom, solid bass response and the option of 28 watt pentode or 14 watt triode operation. The Rambler simply reflects a desire to improve and refine the concept of an appropriately powered, 1×12 combo amp with reverb and tremolo. Carr Rambler amps are often described as being warm, full and round with a surprisingly high threshold of clean tone. This means the amp is also remarkably well suited to virtually any overdrive pedal ever built. The Rambler is considered by many to be the quintessential club amp- Voiced to meet the needs of virtually any player for any style of music. A truly remarkable boutique tube amplifier for electric guitar!
The Carr Rambler 1×12 combo has amazingly dimensional tone. It’s detailed and focused with a rich, punchy bottom end that takes on the sonic bloom of those classic, Fender Blackface amps!
