Time Machine Series New Old Stock electric guitar!

Just in on trade! Immaculate condition!

This Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster is just in on trade and in immaculate condition. I only hesitate to call it mint because, well, I hate to call anything mint just in case I missed some insignificant detail that could only be seen with a microscope. Other than that though- this electric guitar is immaculate. In fact the only hint it might have been owned by someone at all (and I say owned, because it doesn’t appear to have been played) is that the back of the neck has been satinized- probably by lightly rubbing it with #0000 steel wool. It’s very comfortable and professionally done. In fact I would consider this to be an advantage as it’s actually more comfortable than the thick, sticky, gloss lacquer feeling these guitars normally come with. As no finish has been removed, this can be easily and completely reveresed by simply buffing it back to a high gloss if necessary. The fingerboard is also particularly dark. In fact, it’s so dark and even in color that I suspect it’s been lightly stained. If that is the case, however, it was professionally done as it’s not possible to tell other than the fact it looks so dark. Very nice indeed.

As I previously mentioned, this is a Fender Custom Shop Time Machine Series Reissue of a 1960 Stratocaster and features historically accurate, vintage specifications. It was ordered special from the Custom Shop with the follwing options / upgrades in order to make it more playable: ’59 Large “C” neck profile, 6105 frets, a 9.5″ fingerboard radius and 5-way switch. The original hardshell case, certificate, case candy, etc… is included. Like all of our used / vintage / consignment gear this item has been tested for functionality and priced to move. What you see is what you get. Sold as-is.
