Lightweight for a Rosewood Tele – only 8.6 lbs!

Used! Just in on consignment! This 2013 model Limited Rosewood Tele from the Fender Custom Shop is an outstanding electric guitar! It’s is extremely lightweight for a Rosewood Tele- these can normally be anywhere from 10 – 12 lbs on average. This one is only 8.6 lbs. The tone is incredible – Thick, punchy, ringing and sustaining. Cosmetically the guitar is very clean. It is a “Closet Classic” – so it comes stock from Fender with a subtle, aged patina to replicate what you might see on a vintage instrument that was kept in the closet rather than heavily played during it’s lifetime. Other than the stock patina, the only real signs it was used are some superfical pick marks on the pickguard. No series issues, wear, damage or repairs. Like all our used / vintage gear this has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Sold as-is. What you see is what you get.

Fender built several instruments in the late ’60s made completely of hand-selected rosewood. These were in production only very briefly and are now highly collectable on the vintage market. Jimi Hendrix reportedly had one of the first Rosewood Stratocaster guitars, and George Harrison of the Beatles used one of the original Rosewood Telecaster guitars on Let It Be and for the famous Apple Records rooftop concert in January 1969.

The Closet Classic Rosewood Telecaster is once again offered as a Limited Edition for 2013 and is a meticulously crafted replica of one of the most sought after guitars in Fender history. Features include a rosewood body, rosewood neck with early-’60s “oval C”-shaped profile and no skunk stripe or plug, rosewood fingerboard with 9.5” radius and 6105 frets, vintage-style hardware, Twisted Tele® pickups with modern wiring, and satin urethane Closet Classic finish. Each guitar comes with a Limited Edition case, decal, neck plate and certificate of authenticity.
