1953 Fender Tweed Pro Amp
Used / Vintage Fender Tweed Guitar Amplifier!
Wide Panel / Model 5C5, Great tube amp tone!
This vintage tweed Fender Pro Amp has been in my personal collection for years! It’s a great sounding tube guitar amplifier- perfect for all those cranked, vintage Fender Tweed tones. This amp sounds fantastic. Just plug in, turn up and play. Great for that vintage ZZ Top / Billy Gibbons thang… classic rock, blues, etc….
The amp looks rough, but it’s actually pretty straight and original. The main issue is that someone once painted the tweed black and then a later attempt to remove the black paint left it looking rather tattered on the outside. The tweed is original, although the grill cloth may have been changed. The power cord has been switched to a 3-prong and the speaker was replaced at some point with a vintage Magnavox. Other than that, and the aforementioned black paint to the best of my knowledge the amp is all stock.
This 1953 Fender “Pro-Amp” is loaded with vintage tubes and sounds great. I noticed some minor crackling when I first turned it on, but once it warmed up and I worked the pots back and fourth a few times it was sounding fantastic. It really doesn’t get used / powered on as much as it should (that’s the main reason I am selling it).
Like all our used / vintage gear this is sold As-Is and priced to move. What you see is what you get. If you have any questions about this amp please do not hesitate to ask or stop by and check it out.
