Used! Just in on trade! The signature JJ100 is a 2 channel, 100 watt masterpiece of an amp designed specifically for Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains. Jerry has long been known for the crushing tone that has been an inspiration to countless guitar players. As an avid user of Friedman Amps for several years, Jerry and Dave Friedman have finally collaborated on a signature model dialed in specifically to suit the needs of the Man in the Box. The JJ 100 Signature Model is identical in every way to the head Jerry relies on every day – This particular example was ordered factory modded by Dave Friedman himself to include an adjustable gain knob for the boost setting – effectively making this a 3 channel footswitchable amplifier. Very cool and usable indeed.

This 100 watt, EL34 powered fire breather is capable of producing incredible tone for many styles of music- From Blues to Classic Rock, and Heavy Rock to Metal. Simple adjustments of the Gain and Master controls on the Dirty channel will facilitate pretty much any classic to modern tone needed. Switching to the JBE mode via the mini switch on the back adds that signature, Heavy Gain and Saturation associated with the Cantrell sound. Overall, the distortion is filled with complex with harmonic overtones that create a tight response over the full sonic spectrum of the JJ100. Paired with the AC30-like cleans of the first channel and an ultra-dynamic response to right hand attack, this amplifier beautifully recreates the iconic Seattle sound.

The JJ-100 SOUNDS GREAT AT ANY VOLUME level thanks to an awesome Master Volume control- So don’t be put off by the 100 watt power rating. It is also built to withstand the rigors of the road. If you are looking for a heavy-hitting powerhouse, plug into the Friedman JJ-100W.
