Classic Leo Fender Designed solidbody electric guitar

This USA Made G&L S-500 electric guitar is just in on trade and it is in great shape! The condition is fantastic with only the slightest hint that is has been used as all. No significant issues, dings, dents or repairs. Maybe only a minor mark here or there, or some superficial stuff if you look at it under a microscope. But a true case queen- well cared for and appreciated during it’s time with the former owner. I believe the proctective plastic is still on the backplate. Like all our used / vintage gear it has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Sold as-is. What you see is what you get. Comes with molded plastic hardshell case

The following description is from the G&L website with paraphrasing. I believe all specs listed are current and accurate to this guitar, but I am not a G&L dealer. So if there is anything you have questions about, or are unsure of, please ask.  The G&L S-500 debuted in 1982 as Leo Fender’s evolution of the traditional double-cutaway “Strat-style” bolt-on electric guitar. He delivered innovations including the Dual-Fulcrum vibrato (Tremolo) and Magnetic Field Design single-coil pickups, each designed by Leo Fender† himself. These MFD pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end and robust bottom end, all without losing midrange focus.

You’ll find plenty of punch in the MFD pickups, but what’s surprising is how glassy and detailed they become as you roll back the volume and bass controls, the latter a part of the S-500’s PTB™ (Passive Treble and Bass) system which functions on all three pickups. What’s more, the S-500 includes a mini-toggle switch to allow neck+bridge or all three pickups together. In a pinch, the neck+bridge combo does a convincing faux ASAT™ Special. Talk about versatile!

The S-500 features a Leo Fender-designed Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, a work of engineering art which allows bending up or down with unsurpassed stability, while offering a silky feel through its beefy aluminum vibrato arm. The S-500’s hard-rock maple neck features an easy-playing satin finish, while its 12” radius lets you bend notes deeply and its medium-jumbo nickel frets deliver silky playability.
