Gibson Custom Shop Standard Historic 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue
Standard Historic Specifications
Used Vintage Reissue Electric Guitar
Used! Just in on consignment!!! The Standard Historic 1958 Standard Les Paul from Gibson Custom delivers the tone, looks and feel of the original ’58, the first of the Gibson’s now infamous Sunburst models. It features hand-crafted beauty, authentic vintage Gibson tone and historic appointments plus historically accurate aniline dye, hide glue neck construction and the renowned sound transference that comes with its long neck tenon construction. The most important details that made the original a legend are artfully revived for a convincing vintage playing experience. This particular piece is a beautiful color – Some kind of “Tea” Burst (not sure which one specifically). Originally built for Chicago Music Exchange. Comes with original case, certificate, paperwork and pickguard.
Professional refret and new bone nut by Tim Schroeder for perfect tone and incredible playability. If you are not familiar with his work Google him and see for yourself. One of the best in the business. Cosmetically the guitar is in excellent condition without any serious issues, damage or repairs. Only some slight superficial marks keep it from being “mint”. Great neck – Beefy but refined. Lightweight too! Only 8.8lbs. Extremely resonant acoustically and succulent though an amp. Like all our used / vintage gear this has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Sold as-is. What you see is what you get.
