1986 Gibson ES-335 DOT
Used / Vintage semi-hollow electric guitar!
Killer Sounding! One Owner!
Nice Shape with Original Hard Case!
This vintage Gibson ES-335 DOT is a one owner guitar in nice shape. According to the owner he was originally a classical guitar player, but decided to try electric. So one day in 1986 he purchased this guitar, played it a few times, then decided electric wasn’t his thing. So up in the attic it went until he brought it here. All we had to do was clean it up a bit, give it a full setup and restring and wipe down the case. Now it’s ready to Rock! (or Jazz, or Blues, or pretty much anything that vintage ES-335’s are good at – which is pretty much everything). This guitar plays and sounds fantastic! Like all of our used and vintage gear it has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Sold as-is. What you see is what you get. Please ask any questions before purchasing.
The condition is very good. Some natural patina and light checking. No serious issues, damage, repairs, etc… Just a solid original instrument. Frets are stock, low Gibson frets but not worn or in need of work. There are a few small dings and dents here and there but again, nothing serious and nothing that really shows up easily in the photos. Just look closely or ask first if you are concerned about anything. It comes with the original hardshell case and un-submitted warranty card. The neck is a slimmer, 60’s taper style profile. The pickup have patent numbers on the bottom and PAF stickers on the rings – which is typical for this era. VERY LIVELY AND LOUD ACOUSTICALLY!
