High Quality Entry Level Acoustic Guitar
50 Years of History… and it all starts here
Yamaha first introduced the FG Series way back in 1966. With a focus on great playability, musical tone and outstanding build quality, Yamaha proved that a great acoustic guitar didn’t need to cost a fortune. 50 years on, the new range of FG Series acoustics features the best-ever FG tone, playability and class-leading quality that’s made it the choice of millions of guitarists worldwide. Wherever your musical journey may take you, it all starts here.
FG800 is the standard Dreadnought acoustic model from Yamaha with traditional looks, outstanding quality, and an affordable price. Its authentic sound is well balanced thanks to solid Spruce top construction and a newly refined, scalloped bracing design. Low- to mid-range frequencies are also louder and stronger sounding thanks to this cutting-edge acoustic bracing design that maintains the durability of the Spruce top board while bringing out the most sound the Yamaha FG has to offer.
Every aspect of an FG800 is crafted to make a better guitar. From painstakingly cured and dried woods to beautiful hand-sprayed finishes and detailed quality control checks each and every FG is made to be a lifelong partner. We confidently recommend the FG800 (and its smaller sibling – the FS800) to all beginner guitarists.
