The Superior Series CSSU-101 BK from the Zemaitis Custom Shop is an elegantly styled electric guitar with all the hallmarks of a classic Zemaitis ‘Superior’ level instrument. This particular model is adorned with the popular Abalone Pearl Diamond Inlays with Pearl top border motif- An iconic vintage Zemaitis design. While not as ornate as a fully engraved Metal Front or Pearl Front, the CSSU-101 BK Diamond has all the unique features, quality and playability you’d expect from a custom-built Zemaitis guitar. Engraved hardware including the tailpiece, truss rod cover, logo, jack plate, back plates and pickup rings. Mahogany body and neck with Ebony fingerboard. Satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. DiMarzio pickups- It’s all standard! The build quality, fit and finish, fret work, nut work and general attention to detail is all top notch. The custom Zemaitis bridge and tailpiece are not only great looking, but highly functional and add tone and sustain!

Tony Zemaitis was always experimenting. He made guitars for iconic players like Ron Wood and Keith Richards from the Rollings Stones, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Rich Robinson, The Faces and many, many more. His unique guitars featured a wide variety of finishes, pearl inlays, body styles and construction techniques. The Superior Series showcases some of Tony’s most beautiful creations.
